Recertification classes require proof that your certification has not been expired for more than 14 days.

The Blended - BLS, Basic Life Support course allows you to complete the lecture portion online at your own pace, ensuring you have a good understanding of the materials. Then you attend a skills session that ensures you can perform the required skills from the lecture.

Students learn how to recognize adult and pediatric life-threatening emergencies, how to provide Basic Life Support (BLS) and what to do in case of an airway obstruction or choking. Basic Life Support (BLS)  has been approved for training for Emergency Medical Services personnel and is accepted by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).

 Who should take this course?

Basic Life Support (BLS)  program is designed for individuals in the healthcare of professional rescuer field that are required to have a professional-level basic life support training.

The blended - CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid course allows you to complete the lecture portion online at your own pace, ensuring you have a good understanding of the materials. Then you attend a skills session that ensures you can perform the required skills from the lecture.

 Who should take this course?

Individuals who require or desire CPR, AED, and first aid knowledge and skills; including emergency response teams in business and industry, school bus drivers, adult residential care personnel, child care workers, teachers, parents, and babysitters.

This class requires an instructor-led Skills session to complete certification.

**Pediatric First aid, CPR, and AED is required by the City of Boise and the Idaho Child Care Program's (ICCP)

The Pediatric First Aid, CPR and AED program meets the training requirements for Idaho Childcare providers and the Idaho ICCP program. This program is accepted by local, state, and federal agencies.

The Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and AED program helps develop basic first aid knowledge, skills, and the confidence to respond. Pediatric First Aid, CPR and, AED combination training is an excellent choice for both the community and workplace setting. Pediatric First Aid, CPR and AED program is intended to help ensure the health and safety of children. 

Learn what bloodborne pathogens are, how to reduce risks of exposure for themselves and others and what steps need to be taken if exposure occurs.

 Who should take this course?

Instructor Development Course (Blended)

The Instructor Development Course is designed to provide new Instructors a strong foundation in teaching knowledge and skill. The fundamental objective is to help participants develop sufficient confidence and competence to teach, evaluate, and certify participants in ASHI Training Programs.

 Who should take this course?

This course is designed for people with little or no previous teaching experience who desire or require sufficient competency to teach, evaluate, and certify participants in ASHI Training Programs and/or Instructors whose teaching certification has lapsed.

Prerequisites:

Current, Valid student-level certification in the training programs the Instructor candidate wishes to teach and/or competent demonstration of student-level skills assessed by an instructor trainer.
